Marketing Doctor proudly helped in planning and bringing the captivating Umbrella Sky Project to life in Bangor, ME on behalf of Northern Light Health Eastern Maine Medical Center in conjunction with Downtown Bangor, Revive, and Impactplan. Drawing inspiration from the whimsy of Mary Poppins, the installation will continue to float gracefully for 3 years.

Downtown Bangor explains, “the Umbrella Sky Project transforms public spaces with an air of whimsy. Designed to virtually entice visitors…, the colorful canopy and unique shadow pattern will provide a colorful and artistic destination for residents and visitors alike.”

The campaign goal was to inspire people in Bangor to take a moment under the umbrella sky, pausing to ask themselves or another person “How Are You?”, part of Northern Light Health’s momentous campaign against social isolation.

Unique OOH installations like this have the power to bring communities together in-person AND online. Those who post pictures are encouraged to use #HOWAREYOUBANGOR, further spreading the campaign impact and important message for the health system.
